A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers!
We had the pleasure of celebrating some of our most important Land Trust heroes – our amazing volunteers! IRLT’s Volunteer Appreciation Event was hosted at Sailfish Brewing Co. in Vero Beach on April 18th and was a chance to come together and express our deepest gratitude for our volunteers’ amazing dedication to protect and preserve Indian River County's precious green spaces and waterways. From clean-ups and removing invasive plants in our trails, to leading educational hikes and assisting with the planning of our largest event of the year, our volunteers’ contributions are truly invaluable.
This year, our dedicated volunteers achieved incredible milestones. We reached over 1,400 local residents through our guided Conservation and Birding Tours on 5 of our land trust properties and our Annual Benefit attendance. Stewardship Volunteers safeguarded our environment by collecting over 27 bags of trash, 44 bags of invasive plants, and removing ~400 lbs. of air potato bulbils. Event Volunteers orchestrated a spectacular Annual Benefit, drawing over 400 guests in celebration of IRLT’s land conservation efforts.
The smiles, laughter, and shared stories at the event were a testament to the incredible spirit of our volunteer community! The Volunteer Appreciation event was more than just a party. It was a powerful reminder of the collective impact we can achieve when we work together. Our volunteers’ passion and dedication are the backbone of our organization, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership. Thank You Again!
