3rd ANNUAL MEMBERS EVENT
On Saturday, March 20th Indian River Land Trust members and their guests enjoyed the 3rd Annual Members Event at our newly purchased property along the Indian River Lagoon.

Special Thanks to our sponsors:
Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Stifel
Merrill Lynch: Ashdown, Hogan & Associates
Sergio Ramirez Painting, Inc. 772-633-5833

What Made This Event So Special?
In its first land acquisition project since McKee Botanical Garden, IRLT acquired two important pieces of land to establish a new trail project along the Indian River Lagoon.

The purchases include the protection of:
  • A native oak hammock as the gateway to a 1-mile trail loop; and
  • A mangrove swamp, with an elevated boardwalk and a dock extending into the Indian River Lagoon.
These purchases will provide access to more than 40 undeveloped acres that will allow walkers, bird watchers, and others a quiet scenic stroll with pristine views of the Lagoon.

During this event, our members and guests were the first residents of our country to tour these properties.

Please see pictures below of our 3rd Annual Members Event.
